The Australian parakeet or common parakeet or, in the popular Brazilian language, ave-undulata, scientifically known as "Melopsittacus undulatus", is a small species of long-tailed psittaciform bird, belonging to the Psittaculidae family, which feeds on seeds and is the single species of the genus Melopsittacus.
